Why You Shouldn't Set Your Resolutions January 1st

Looking ahead to a new year brings promise and excitement for many of us. We’re dreaming about all the goals we want to achieve, and have likely got New Year’s resolutions in mind already. It’s easy to want to capitalize on that feeling and set resolutions on January 1st, yet by February most resolutions have failed! Remember, the right time to set your resolution is the time that you’ll be able to stick to it. Usually this means NOT starting it January 1st. I urge you to wait until your mind is fully engaged again after the holidays, to do your pre-work and planning, and to focus on smaller resolutions that will cause substantial change over time. You are in control - not that calendar on the wall!

To Happier & Healthier Year!
