Needing Help? Local Community Resources.
Frequently, I am asked about transportation, help with medical appointments home health care after surgery, and other help. Our community has resources, but getting that information when you need it can be challenging. So today, I am starting a blog - not only a blog but also a page on Villages where you can access information when needed.
Here's the page on the website (or go to Community Resources in the menu)
If you have information to share, please email me at info@villagesofsantafe.org. Once a month, I will send out an update and link to the information. If you have used any of these services, let me know your experience. Let's find the best for us in Santa Fe, so we have choices.
Send me your recommendations for anything—shopping, cars, doctors, vendors, services. Include their name, company name, phone, email, website, and a brief description of what they offer and your experience with them.

Senior Services for those in Santa Fe City. I suggest going to their website and review eligibility and signup.
Contact information: To schedule a ride or for questions, call 505-955-4700.
Door-to-door transportation services are provided to seniors aged 60 and over Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Please note that on the first Tuesday of each month, the last call for a ride is at 2:45 pm due to mandatory staff training. Rides include but are not limited to grocery stores, doctor appointments, senior centers, hair salons/barbers, etc. Medical appointments are a priority over all other rides. Transportation reservations must be made at a minimum of at least 3-5 days in advance by phone by providing their location, destination, designated time, and contact number. There is a suggested donation of $.50 per ride, or clients may purchase a ride ticket for 25 rides for $10, which saves clients $2.50. Masks are optional.
